During his fourth year at Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest, Dr. Bela began working at the Dermatology Department of the National Institute of Oncology. There, he gained early clinical experience with advanced-stage melanoma patients—an encounter that profoundly shaped his medical philosophy. Witnessing the devastating impact of late-stage skin cancer drove his lifelong dedication to early detection, holistic health, and preventative skin care. These early years also laid the foundation for his integrative medical approach, which combines modern dermatology with healthy lifestyle practices. In 2004, he completed his qualification as a specialist of Dermatology with an excellent degree.
Establishing MelanomaMobil: Pioneering Early Detection
In 2005, Dr. Bela founded MelanomaMobil, a dedicated mole screening clinic in Hungary based on a mole mapping system he developed to improve early melanoma detection. This pioneering technology has enabled the screening of 4,000 to 6,000 patients every year, saving hundreds—if not thousands—of lives. In 2025, the clinic proudly celebrated 20 years of excellence in skin cancer screening, a testament to Dr. Bela’s unwavering commitment to melanoma awareness and prevention.
20th Anniversary Training Days for Hungarian Dermatologists
To mark the 20-year milestone of MelanomaMobil, Dr. Bela hosted a major dermatology training event for over 100 Hungarian dermatologists. He delivered two keynote lectures—one on pattern analysis in dermatoscopy and another on his learnings from the 2023 Rome Dermatoscopy Masterclass. The event helped raise clinical standards in mole checks and early skin cancer detection across Hungary and will now continue annually.
Commitment to Continuous Education: 2023 Rome Masterclass
Dr. Bela’s passion for lifelong learning led him to attend the 2023 Rome Dermatoscopy Masterclass with Professors Giuseppe Argenziano and Aimilios Lallas. Over three intensive days, he deepened his skills in mole analysis and early melanoma diagnosis—and even won the masterclass’s in-house diagnostic competition. After returning to London, he shared his new insights with his Hungarian team through regular “Training Mondays,” expanding clinical knowledge across both his UK and Hungarian operations.
Relocating to the UK: Serving the Chiswick Community
In 2010, Dr. Bela relocated to the UK with his wife Brigi, a senior beauty therapist, and their two children. Since 2011, they have been serving the Chiswick and West London community, building long-term relationships with patients through their work at the Park Club and Hogarth MediSpa. Their loyal patient base became the foundation for the opening of their own facility, the Chiswick Clinic.
Advanced Training in Facial Aesthetics
Dr. Bela received extensive hands-on training in facial aesthetics in London, studying under world-renowned experts. This advanced education, paired with his dermatology background, enables him to deliver safe, natural-looking results using wrinkle-relaxing injections (Botox), dermal fillers, and other non-surgical procedures. Thanks to his expert eye and mole screening experience, the skin cancer was caught and removed early—saving the patient’s life. Recognising the risks of the unregulated UK aesthetic industry, Dr. Bela launched the Safe Aesthetic Treatments Campaign in 2017. The initiative provides guidance for patients on selecting qualified practitioners, verifying their credentials, and ensuring procedures are conducted in safe, sterile, and medically led environments. The Chiswick Clinic was developed as an ambitious project involving everything from property acquisition and medical design planning to legal compliance and healthcare infrastructure. Despite being outside their comfort zone, Dr. Bela and Brigi successfully opened a purpose-built dermatology and aesthetics clinic in West London. Today, the Chiswick Clinic is home to a growing, handpicked team and is becoming a trusted hub for skin health, anti-ageing treatments, and medical aesthetics in the local community.
